If you applied directly to GradSchool your username and password were included with your offer letter.
If you applied through the Universities Admission Centre (UAC) you should revisit myHub two (2) days after accepting your offer to receive your username and password.
Your username is c followed by your 7-digit student number which can be found on your offer letter.
Your initial password is the four character access key on your offer letter followed by the day and month of your birth in ddmm format.
For example: If your access key is ab3d and your date of birth is 30 September your password will be ab3d3009.
Please change your password as soon as you can.
The University provides a student email account for all students. The new email system replacing Studentmail is called NUmail. Please note that GradSchool and the University will contact you via your NUmail account for all official communications, including billing. You will be able to log in using the same username (eg. c3000000) and password (eg. aabb2010) that you use to access MyHub.

Your academic record and results are available to view or print at any time in myHub. Official academic transcripts are only available from the University of Newcastle. Graduates are presented with one copy of their academic transcript at their graduation ceremony. To request additional academic transcripts please use the form located in the Online Forms section.

If
your citizenship or residency details have changed you need to notify
us. You will need to provide a certified copy of your new certificate
or passport detailing this change. Please post these documents to
GradSchool with a cover letter detailing these changes and include your student number and full contact details. Please note that scanned, emailed or faxed documents are not acceptable.

When
you have completed all the requirements of your degree program, the
Graduations department of the University will arrange for you to receive a letter
of invitation to a Graduation Ceremony.
These letters are usually sent out about 4 weeks prior to the graduation ceremonies. If you do not wish to attend a graduation ceremony your testamur will be mailed to you after the ceremonies are held. If
you require your testamur early you should complete the Request for Release of Testamur form located on the Online Forms page.

Here you can view and change your course enrolment, change your contact details, view your course fee invoice and a number of other important details and facilities.
Course materials will start to be dispatched just prior to the commencement of the term, or as they become available from the Course Coordinators. Packages in Australia are delivered by Australia Post, overseas student packages are sent by DHL. If you are studying more than one course you may receive packages at various times.
An email will be sent to your NUmail account on the day your materials have been despatched from GS. Some learning materials will also be available electronically via Blackboard after the first day of trimester/semester.

BlackBoard
is the online learning delivery platform used at the University of
Newcastle. Course materials and other resources are available for
download via BlackBoard. You will be able to participate in Class
discussion and interaction through BlackBoard.

The "Application To Appeal Against a Final Grade in a Course" Form is located in the Online Forms section. It is to be used in accordance with the Procedures for
Appeal Against a Final Result after appropriate consultation with your
course instructor where you have been unable to
resolve a query about an assessment item or final result in a course.
Please note that a fee may be charged for this service.
The
University recognises that during your studies, illness or other
special circumstances beyond your control may affect your preparation
for or performance in an assessment item or exam. In such situations,
where it is a major assessment item or a formal exam that is affected,
you must submit an application for special circumstances with
supporting documentation.
In the first instance you should contact your course instructor by email and discuss your situation.
Should you then need to apply for special consideration please log on and apply through the Special Consideration system.
8. What is Turnitin?
Turnitin is a University system designed to help maintain academic integrity. You may be required to submit your assessment items via Turnitin.

Course fees are charged per course (10 units). You will be invoiced in the first two weeks of trimester/semester in myHub. Notification will be sent to your NUmail account.

FEE-HELP is a loan scheme through the Australian Government that assists eligible fee paying students to pay their tuition fees. FEE-HELP can cover all or part of a student's tuition fees.
The Australian Government pays the amount of the loan direct to the University. Students repay their loans through the Australian taxation system once their repayment income is above the minimum repayment threshold for compulsory repayment. Voluntary repayments may be made at any time, regardless of income.
You can only apply for Fee-Help after you have been made an offer into a program. Application is online in myHub under the myFinances section (select view eCAF).
The following students are eligible for FEE-HELP:
- An Australian citizen
- Holder of a Humanitarian Permanent Resident visa and will be resident in Australia for the duration of the units of study
- Holder of a Permanent visa who will be undertaking bridging study for overseas-trained professionals and will be resident in Australia for the duration of the units of study
