How will this course help me?

After completing the course you will have the tools to:

  • Develop your own internet marketing plan which incorporates the use of internet technologies and its applications
  • Develop new online channels to sell your products and services and integrate these with your existing channels
  • Develop and implement digital and interactive communication plans (eg, Search Engine Marketing and Optimisation, Social Media, Mobile, Email Marketing), that are cost effective and are based on revenue objectives
  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of your website with key analytical tools driving traffic and revenue
  • Develop and use customer profiling techniques to design and customise new products and services
  • Use your database marketing on the internet to further improve the customer satisfaction levels of your potential and existing customers.

How much time will I have to commit?

This course is designed to be flexible, and therefore it is up to you in terms of how much time you decide to invest in the course. However, it is recommended that you spend approximately 1.5 hrs per week on the course material.

Some students are comfortable with just logging on to Blackboard and reading the course materials whereas other students complete all readings and participate in both Blackboard and the Elluminate chat sessions.

What certification will I receive?

All participants will receive a certificate of attainment awarded by GradSchool at the completion of the course

Do I have to complete assignments or sit a formal exam?

Within this course there are no formal exams or assessment tasks.
However, there is an optional assignment that students may wish to undertake to help reinforce their learning.

How will I learn?

The course is delivered through the online learning platform, Blackboard. Your computer will become your classroom and via Blackboard you will be able to interact and engage with the Course Convenor as well as other participants.

Within Blackboard you will also be able to access all the course materials, including an online Book of Readings, post comments on the discussion board and interact through live chat and video conferencing sessions.

You will learn by allocating time for:

  • Reading the materials each week (lecture material, readings, articles)
  • Engaging with the learning materials
  • Participating in the weekly discussion topics with the Course Convenor and other participants on Blackboard and the Elluminate Live chat sessions
