GradSchool.com.au Wins Fastest Growing Award GradSchool.com.au has secured first place at the MAP Marketing Fastest Growing Awards 2008. The company received top prize in the Online Business category at an awards ceremony held 24 June in Newcastle. The award recognises the growth the company has experienced in recent years through its online postgraduate coursework and professional development programs. GradSchool.com.au CEO, Professor Kevin McConkey said the award recognises "the high quality programs matched with the freedom to study anywhere, anytime". The company has experienced an 83% growth during 2005-2007. In 2008 GradSchool.com.au's expansion has included the launch of 2 new online programs - Master of Digital Media and Master of Science Management. The awards recognise local business growth in 22 industry areas such as export, hospitality, not-for-profit and innovation.
Trimester 2 Trimester 2 has now commenced, and with the launch of 2 new programs - Master of Digital Media and Master of Science Management, it has been a very busy period. Materials for trimester 2 should now have arrived, if not please contact your local post office and then GradSchool.com.au. The census date for trimester 2 is Monday 9 June 2008.
FSCIT Canberra Info Session - Wednesday 9th April 2008 The Faculty of Science and Information Technology in conjunction with GradSchool.com.au will be holding an information evening for current and prospective students in Canberra on Wednesday 9th April from 4:30-7:30pm. The evening will provide prospective students with information regarding the Faculty of Science and Information Technology’s online programs including 2 new programs, the Master of Digital Media and Master of Science Management, which will commence in trimester 2 2008. The information session will also prospective students to speak with students currently completing online programs. Faculty staff will be in attendance to answer questions and provide information regarding the Faculty’s online programs. For current students the info session will provide them with a chance to meet face to face with their online program convenors, allowing them to “put a face to an email”!
Attendance is via registration and attendees at the evening go into the draw to win a brand new DELL laptop worth over $1000. More information - Canberra Info Session
News Semester 1 course materials Course materials are now being despatched, we anticipate to have despatched almost all course materials for semester 1 by Friday 29 February. Students who have not receive their learning materials by Friday should check any announcements on BlackBoard, then contact their nearest post office.

January 2008 Course Materials - Trimester 1 Course materials for trimester 1 have now been despatched. If you have enrolled late and have not received your course materials yet please contact your nearest Australia Post branch (domestic students) first then GradSchool.com at postgradstudy@newcastle.edu.au
Up front payment now not required GradSchool.com will now use "Myhub", a new and improved student management system providing 24/7 service and support. As part of the new system, enroling students will now no longer be required to pay course fees up front to complete their enrolment. All fee paying students will receive an email notification to their studentmail that the bill is available. It is the student’s responsibility to view this bill, and make the payment by the due date (Students who elected to defer their fees to Fee-Help or HECS-Help will not be invoiced). This information will become available in the first week of term. |
